Q1. Why a Dodge Challenger?

Our reason is simple, We like the retro look of the Challenger!  The car is one of of 15 for the year of 2016 in that paint and configuration.

Q2. Why a late model Challenger?

Long story short; We we opted for something more modern that we could get in and go on weekends and longer distances more often with lots of space and comfort.

Q3. What is the color?

Growing up Halloween has always been my favorite Holiday. Even all the way into adulthood. Just ask anyone. My favorite color is Orange. I’d sit on my lunch hour searching inventory in a 90 mile radius for months waiting for a dealer to get a Go Mango in stock. When it finally happened, I took a few hours off work to test drive, the next morning there was a deposit and that evening there was a challenger in my driveway.  I could not thing of a better color to fit me; A glowing Orange car; as bright as the headless horsemen’s head. The color has metal flake, and depending on the amount of sun and time of day, it can look red.

Q4. What do people notice first about the car?

Besides the color, the Shaker Hood. It makes it look even faster and sound better. You can hear the air sucking in with that and a cold air intake.  As we’re passing people, you could see their eye following the hood mouthing the words S-H-A-K-E-R. It makes it a little more unique from all the other challengers out there.  When I was looking at RT’s online, I didn’t configure the shaker. The dealer shot me a picture before I made it down to the lot, I put it up on social media for my friends and family to decide.  There were no objections.

Q5. What mods have you done?

The exhaust. It just had to go. A muscle car needs to sound like a muscle car. Way too quiet. Right after the test drive the dealer asked me how I like it. I told him the exhaust is too quiet. I wanted that “I <3 my neighbors at 3AM sound.  The car was only about 3 months old. and I spent weeks listening to different exhausts online until I found the right setup. I choose the Flowmaster Outlaw. Its a tuned straight pipe mid muffler and resonator delete exhaust with quad stainless tips.  Much sexier than stock.  We did it in my friends garage with his 3 year old son and jack stands on Black Friday.  The car only had 3000 miles on it and just did the first oil change the week before.  Sounds so much better. especially in tunnels.  Probably picked up a few HP too.

Q6. What other mods do you have planned?

What don’t I have planned?   This year I’m looking at long tube headers and a custom tune. I’ve done a lot of research again for fitment, and output. We were looking at Dynatch Long Tube Header and High Flow Cats. Their charts are pretty impressive and have a good reputation for fitment. From what I hear the install is going to be an all day job, maybe two. Going to need those jack stands again. These are probably going to happen pretty soon. We’ll see how the install goes and pick up a tune a little later and probably hold until next year on any more mods  I’m not going to mention too much about the tune, but its going to be from a record holding shop. We’ll probably pick up 10 more decibels on the loudness scale as well. Not sure how well this is going to go over cruising through towns.
